Kayako v4 holds information pertaining to Categories, Forums, Topics and Topic Posts but does not provide a REST API allowing automatic export along with all other information.
This option allows for the simultaneous import of this information from a file containing this information in CSV format, along with the automatic export and import of information pertaining to Tickets, Organizations and People.
Kayako supplementary files need to be generated from the Kayako Admin application, using the XML export facility. The export should include data as well as metadata.
The tables needed for the Custom Field Mapper are:
Types of Fields - swcustomfieldoptions

The tables needed for the Forums are:

Comments swcommendata & swcomments

All the above files should be placed into a single zip file.
Select the Option to Include Supplementary Files
- Check the "Supplementary files" check box to indicate the desire to include additional manually exported information as part of the migration. This will display an additional field allowing entry of the location for the files holding this information.
Navigate to the CSV File Location
- Select the "Browse" button to bring up your file explorer and navigate to the location of the files containing the CSV to be imported.
The CSV files used during the import must be contained within a .zip file (see Preparing CSV Files for Import).
- Select the the .zip file containing the CSV files
- Select the "Open" button to set this file name and location as the parameter in the migration utility
Monitoring Progress of the Migration
- If opting to bring this information in via a supplementary file then these items are processed as part of the export, otherwise they are ignored.
